Xkeeps Privacy Policy
Updated: 2026-10-06
Data handled
Xkeeps processes the connected X account identifier and handle, bookmarks, likes, post text, author details, folders and media URLs locally. Imported files and archive files in authorized directories are used only for previews, merges and scans you request.
Connection information and requests
The extension reads current X session cookies and captures authorization information and query identifiers from X requests. These are kept in Chrome local storage and used for requests to X. Necessary account identifiers and authentication information may be sent to X. The extension reads X pages and public script text to identify current query identifiers; it parses this text without executing downloaded scripts.
Media and viewer
Media previews and selected downloads request images, avatars, thumbnails or videos from the corresponding media servers. Opening an online archive or remote media in the viewer contacts its server, which receives normal network connection information. Saved ZIP files can be read offline.
Storage and usage records
Archives, connection state, settings and authorized directory handles stay in local Chrome extension storage. Xkeeps does not use Chrome sync storage or send them to a developer server. Local usage events contain random identifiers, operation categories, counts, durations and controlled error categories; they exclude accounts, post text, keywords, cookies, media URLs and paths. Events are trimmed on a new write to the most recent 90 days or 5,000 records.
Sharing and limited use
Xkeeps does not sell user data or use it for advertising, purposes unrelated to its core function, creditworthiness or lending decisions. The developer does not remotely receive archives, authentication information or local usage records. Data is used only for requested bookmark and like retrieval, organization, saving and functional diagnostics.
Your controls and deletion
You can export your records; view, export and clear local usage events; disable scheduled updates per source; revoke authorized directories or clear local records for the current account and source. Clearing does not delete exported disk files, which you manage yourself. Uninstalling removes the extension’s browser-local data.

Website
Only on the official website and after consent, Google Analytics measures page views, download clicks, installation guide views, installation address copies, repository clicks, feedback clicks and language switches. Action event parameters contain only page language, placement, website version and extension version. Page views use fixed website page addresses, a fixed title, an empty referrer, language and versions. We do not collect X accounts, saved post text, local file paths, copied addresses, or URL queries and fragments. Google also processes ordinary network request and browser information and uses analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in this browser. Declining does not affect downloads. Withdraw through Analytics settings in the footer to stop sending and clear this website’s analytics cookies. If your browser cannot save the choice, you will be asked again on your next visit. No analytics or permissions are added to the extension. This site uses no remote fonts. Hosting receives normal HTTP request information; author links have their own data practices.
